Perfect for beginners and anyone wanting to become more confident with a sewing machine, this practical workshop will teach you the most useful clothing repairs and alterations you can do at home. Guided by an experienced soft furnishings specialist with over 20 years of professional sewing experience, you'll learn techniques that are neat, durable and easy to recreate.
During the workshop you'll learn how to:
- Repair split seams
- Sew on buttons securely
- Shorten trousers and jeans
- Hem skirts and dresses
- Repair simple tears and everyday wear
- Achieve neat, professional-looking finishes
By the end of the session, you'll have the confidence to tackle common clothing repairs yourself, helping you save money, reduce textile waste and extend the life of your wardrobe.
